one. hi, my name is jess! i'm 24, live in EST, and have been on tumblr for about 10+ years. this is an rp blog for ellie williams, strictly game based with a few canon divergencies, until information is released about the hbo show.

two. i am medium to low activity, but try my best to be online. i’m much more responsive when something is heavily plotted as i have a lot of inspiration that stems from that. i’m obsessed with AUs, so throw them at me. i love getting to know my writing partners, so please don’t hesitate to reach out !

three. i also write on discord and often enjoy doing that as it is much more stress free. mutuals are free to ask for my discord.

four. i will not tolerate any hate. if you send anonymous hate, it will be deleted and you will not get the attention that you seek. in that same breath, please keep your drama and call outs far away from here. if i see anyone reblog a call out that is related to personal drama, i will immediately unfollow/softblock. unless someone is a genuine threat to the community, i will never acknowledge a call out. please just communicate openly. that being said, i know i’m not perfect - please come to me with any concerns that you have or if anything i’m doing makes you uncomfortable. i want this to be a safe space for not only myself, but for everyone else included.

five. feel free to send in any and all memes ! i may not respond right away, but i will try my best to get to it. keep in mind that i may not respond to all memes as my muse is fleeting and there may be days where i lack inspiration. that being said, memes are a great way to break the ice. if you’re debating whether or not you should send the meme, just do it ! never be afraid to interact with me that way.

six. as for shipping, i'd love to potentially discuss a ship if there is chemistry. with that said, ellie is a lesbian. please remember this when interacting with me. do not force ships on me, and i will extend you the same courtesy. my main ship is ellie/dina, but i am open to any ship, as long is there is chemistry and/or we've discussed it previously !

eight. if you need something tagged, please tell me. this blog does touch on the topics of depression/anxiety/ptsd and how they affect ellie's life, especially after joel's death. these will be tagged, however, i may forget sometimes. if this happens, please let me know and i will fix it immediately. i personally do not have many triggers. just please just tag your personal negativity. i struggle with depression and anxiety and on my low days, seeing constant negativity brings me down even further.

FULL BIO.

ellie was born into a quarantine zone in boston, massachusetts to her mother anna. she had little to no knowledge of the world before the infection started, and so she grew up under the oppressive military force in the QZ (quarantine zone). before her mother died, anna placed her into the care of marlene, who was a firefly. ellie had a somewhat normal childhood - as normal as it could be during a cordyceps infection that left the world in an apocalyptic state. she continued to go to school, learn drills, learn how to fight and how to defend herself. she made friends along the way, one of her closest ones being riley. riley and her were very close until, after an argument, riley went away, seemingly disappearing. it isn't for almost two months later that she's reunited with her friend who reveals that she's become a firefly, a revolutionary militia group in the qz.

they reconnect quickly, riley taking her on a bit of an adventure and taking her to a mall within the qz. they explore everything together, ellie soon glad to have her friend back. however, the two's happy reunion didn't last very long. as the two are dancing, listening to their walkman together, they kiss, but are quickly interrupted by a sudden arrival of infected. runners had been attracted to the music they were playing and the two were forced to flee. during their escape attempt, they were both bitten. vowing to 'lose their minds together' the two stay together. however, ellie's loss of herself never comes. watching riley turn, ellie decided she couldn't leave her to roam forever and decided to kill her friend to save her from her misery. it's soon after this that marlene, a firefly, takes ellie under her wing, the news of ellie's immunity being a miracle to the both of them.

just a few weeks later, marlene strikes a deal with two experienced smugglers, joel and tess, to take ellie out of the city and get her to a safe spot at the capitol building. however, what was meant to be a quick journey ended up falling apart at the last moment. tess had been bitten, and joel and ellie were forced to escape the military that was closing in. tess forces them to continue on their journey, joel and ellie now faced with a trek all the way to salt lake city. it's not an easy journey, the both of them faced with endless numbers of infected and countless enemies.

as the two of them make their way across the country, they begin to bond, though it's partially out of necessity and partially due to them actually enjoying each other's company. they make it through countless battles, making it through dangerous territory in order to make their way to salt lake. they soon make it to the location of joel's brother tommy, and joel believes that tommy would be a better fit to take ellie to the fireflies as he was a former member. however, hearing this, ellie runs away, forcing joel and tommy to chase after her. joel changes his mind and instead decides to take her to salt lake city himself.

after countless near death experiences on both her and joel's part, they manage to make it to salt lake city where the fireflies are stationed. she's quickly given over to the fireflies, who separate her and joel and get ellie ready for testing to understand her immunity and find a cure. however, upon finding out that the testing will kill her, joel decides to go after ellie, taking her unconscious body out of the hospital. quickly, he begins their journey back to jackson, traveling with ellie to bring her to safety.
